Makes life so easy pruning

I bought this saw to use as a clean up saw around my property. I have 67 acres with several km of recreational trails, and many times the gas powered chainsaw is overkill for trimming the brush back. This little saw is light weight and easy to use.

I’ve seen hand held chain saws for a while and have always thought they might be handy to own, but I was just blown away with the performance of this little saw. Now I don’t expect it to do the job of a large chain saw, but for use on pruning and cutting down small bushes, shrubs and even some medium branches on tree, it’s been excellent.

This is my second Seesii saw (first was the 6 inch chainsaw) and I’m so happy with the product. It’s already gotten a great workout and removed several tall branches with many more planned. Instructions were clear and I’ve had zero issues. Very satisfied.

I was skeptical about having a small electric chainsaw because I had previously tried a large size one and it could not make continued big cuts like a gas chainsaw. These small size electric saws are actually perfect for small jobs like pruning. For pruning, the battery and motor size are perfect. I have over 2000 pine trees in various stages of growth and I needed a good solution for pruning the lower small (2-3 inch thick) branches. A gas chainsaw gets pretty heavy if you need to do a lot of pruning, but this light weight electric 6 inch saw was a breeze to use for an hour or more. This model has the small internal tank for oiling the chain, which is a must have if you have a lot to do at one time. The attached picture shows ten piles of pine branches that I was able to prune in 45 minutes on one battery (the pack comes with two batteries). I went with the 6 inch chain instead of the 8 inch and I think this was a good choice. There are a bunch of different brands to choose from; so far after about 5 hours of use, the Sessile cordless has worked flawlessly and is very easy to clean and make adjustments to the chain.

I heat my home with wood, so I am very experienced with using a full-sized gas chain saw. With that said, I have found this mini, 4″ chain saw to be an incredible tool for trimming small tree limbs and brush around my multi acre homestead. Two things convinced me to buy this particular saw. Number 1: I watched a You Tube video from a man using this saw. I was impressed with the amount of limbs and saplings he cut on a single battery charge. I was also impressed with how quickly the saw cut its way through the limbs up to about 3 inches in diameter. Number 2: The saw will accept a Makita battery or a generic brand made for Makita. I did not want a unique battery that might not be available in the future. The accessories that came with the saw (hard case, extra battery, tool kit with chain files) have also been great to have. Initially, and after making 4-5 cuts, I put a few drops of chain saw bar oil on the chain and bar. I keep the chain tensioned properly, and this little saw just keeps going and going until just a moment before the battery finally dies. Then, I just pop in the spare battery and continue cutting. I no longer have to use limb loppers or a folding limb saw to do my yard maintenance. I did purchase an extra guide bar and chain, for about $9. I can keep the chain sharp using the included 3 mm round file. I wish I would have had this tool years ago.
