As far as the lock goes, I’ve used the key and touchpad without any issues whatsoever, and I use the key fob daily. I’ve gotten the key fob to work when I’m sitting in my vehicle in front of my fifth wheel RV, so the range is good! I also love the feature that you can enter a code with random numbers into the touchpad, and as long as your actual code is somewhere in that random number, you can still get in. As a woman doing solo RVing, this feature is great for safety! If you’re looking at getting a lock for your RV, I highly suggest this one. I’m an RV tech by trade, and see a wide variety of locks in the field. This one is definitely one of the best out there. It’s metal, and very solidly made. Mine has been through Texas heat, and Colorado cold, and worked fine in both. This lock is also much more secure than the lock that comes on your RV stock, and if you do by chance have some issue with it, I can stand by their customer service as being top notch! I know there are a few different options out there for aftermarket locks, I am SO SO GLAD I went with this one! Happy camping!
